Bradley Baht 'At!

2014 will see the Tour de France coming to Yorkshire for the first time and the County is eagerly anticipating a thrilling spectacle and will ‘pull out all the stops’ to ensure visitors will be given a ‘reight good Yorkshire welcome’. The impression depicts Sir Bradley Wiggins against the backdrop of the Cow and Calf on Ilkley Moor.

European Stars

European Stars - Hockney

European Stars is a tribute to David Hockney’s exceptional talent and wide range of projects that he has worked on. It is probably less well known that in 1992, he designed the stamp (European Star) to commemorate The Single European Market, which is depicted in the top left hand side of the impression.

Outcry and Aside

Outcry and Aside - Priestley

Outcry and Aside is a tribute to J.B. Priestley, whose presence is still felt in Bradford by the imposing statue situated in the centre of the city and depicted in the current used stamp collage impression. He never forgot the city in which he grew up, and even though he lived most of his later life “Down-South,” he kept a beady eye on the developments that took place in Bradford.

Cash and Carry - Morrison

Cash and Carry is a tribute to the outstanding achievements of Sir Ken Morrison. This collage impression is the third in the series of famous Bradfordians, the other two, David Hockney and J B Priestley, were exhibited at the PoP Up Gallery in Centenary Square in January 2011 and the Handmade in Bradford Gallery in November/ December 2012.
